Beaurifully renovated hotel in a suberb location close to food, grocery, and the beach. The framed original room key is a darling touch that shows the care and attention that went into the renovations.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations — just WOW!

We booked at the last minute and got a double queen room with a balcony overlooking the ocean. The view was absolutely gorgeous and such a wonderful surprise.

The room was spacious, newly renovated and very comfortable. The bathroom had a walk-in shower, great lighting and excellent water pressure — all the little things that make a hotel stay so much better. The beds were comfortable too, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.

And the location couldn’t be better! It’s right next to the harbourfront park, so you can step outside and immediately enjoy the waterfront. There are also two highly rated restaurants right on site, which is incredibly convenient. Free parking is available on site as well.

One thing to be aware of: I didn’t see an elevator, and we carried our own luggage up to the second floor. It wasn’t an issue for us, but worth knowing if you have heavy bags or mobility concerns.

For a last-minute booking, this turned out to be one of those unexpected travel finds that completely exceeded our expectations. Would absolutely stay here again. Easy 5-star recommendation!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel 19.  We were warmly welcomed at the front desk.  Our room was very clean and the view was fabulous.  Having a couple of restaurants on site was wonderful given that we were getting up very early the following morning to catch the ferry.
Once the elevator is installed, the service could be upgraded to 5-star.

What a lovely hotel and wonderful, warm staff! I had an epic quest all the way from Toronto to the tip of the island eventually landing in Haida Gwaii. This hotel was a cozy and friendly place to land on both sides of my trip. The lobby was beautiful and smelled of rich cedar. The rooms were clean and well designed - great bath products and thoughtful touches. They were so accommodating when I made errors with booking and put me at ease with the late night check-in from the overnight ferry. All the staff were friendly and it was lovely to chat with owner Kristina. She even showed us the restaurant which we were sad to miss! Can't recommend this spot enough as a clean, comfy and thoughtfully designed option in Port Hardy.
